The California State University- Long Beach chapter has spent the last several months working to ensure all students in the CSULB community have access to the sexual health information and services they need. In evaluating the services in the campus health center, they found major gaps in resources for LGBTQ students. Chapter members worked with the center to get cultural competency training for health center staff. The chapter also helped create a relationship between the health center staff and the LA Gay & Lesbian Center which specifically offers transgender care and transition services. Next, the chapter is working with the director of the health center to bring these principles to the rest of the Cal State network of universities, a total of 23 campuses.
