Midwest Regional Coordinator
Haley was born in San Francisco, California and moved to Kingman, Kansas when she was nine. She attended the University of Kansas and graduated in 2013 with a BA in Women’s Studies and English with a minor in Jewish Studies. Her first week at KU she became involved with the Commission on the Status of Women and later served as the Reproductive Justice coordinator and vice president. In 2012 Haley became president of CSW and oversaw the creation of the “This is What a Feminist Looks Like” campaign. During Summer 2011 Haley co-founded Speak for Choice with other members of CSW in response to attacks on Kansan women’s right to have legal, safe, and accessible abortions. Speak for Choice organized a youth led rally that September at the State Capitol. Her involvement with CSW led to her running for Student Senate, where she served as a Junior/Senior CLAS senator for two years. She became chair of the Student Senate Multicultural Affairs Committee her senior year, and led the MA committee in the creation of Student Senate seats for International students on campus. During her free time Haley enjoys googling photos of Scottish Terrier puppies and watching documentaries about the universe.
