Kansas State Organizer
Lain is a black queer genderfluid feminist and recent graduate of Kansas State University, completing a B.A. in Modern Languages (German) and a B.S. in Animal Sciences and Industry. Born and raised in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, they followed their love for livestock to Kansas, where their college experience opened them up to a whole new type of lifestyle. As a survivor of sexual assault, Lain became an advocate for others on campus and in the community, and the President of Feminists Igniting Resistance and Empowerment (FIRE) at KSU, later expanding their activism to include various other types of social justice, and eventually leading them to URGE.
In their free time, Lain enjoys spending time with their turtles and cats, watching and playing rugby, finding new ways to obsessively clean their apartment, and using they/them and he/him pronouns.
