Texas State University/San Marcos CAN

San Marcos, TX

URGE in San Marcos and Texas State University has been around since 2017. As an organization open to students and non-students in the Hays County area, they are led by young people of color who are queer, non-binary, trans, women, and of low-income. They analyze the issues affecting their campus, communities and lives through an intersectional lens and develop leadership skills through social justice, community service and political activism. You can follow them on Instagram @urgetxst or Twitter @URGETXST.
