Jackson Wright (he/him)

Development Coordinator

Jackson Wright has over 12 years of experience in development, programming, and marketing in nonprofit organizations. Whether giving support to people with disabilities, promoting homeownership, or developing leadership programs for youth, his professional career has been in pursuit of a calling to strengthen and support marginalized communities. 

Before coming to URGE, Jackson served as a District Executive for the Hawkeye Area Council, BSA from 2018 to 2021, and Grants/ Development Specialist with NeighborWorks Orange County from 2016-2018.  

Jackson graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in Journalism in 2013, and in May of 2022, he will graduate from the University of Iowa with a Master’s in Public Affairs, with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management. 

Jackson is a proud Chicano feminist, and loves cooking, craft beer, and watching movies with his English Bulldog, Barnaby. In December 2021, Jackson and his partner Dakota welcomed their first child. Jackson uses he/him pronouns.
