Kavleen Singh (she/her)

California State Organizer

Kavleen is a longtime believer in sexual and reproductive autonomy for all and joins URGE as a California State Organizer.

Previously, Kavleen organized California college students with her justCARE (Campus Action for Reproductive Equity) team as part of a statewide campaign to successfully pass Senate Bill 24, which mandates implementation of medication abortion at all CSU & UC student health centers, into law. Her organizing work continues with URGE now that the law is undergoing implementation in California.

Additionally, Kavleen has worked on a grassroots awareness & education campaign focusing on better care services and support systems for the growing number of older folks in California. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018, with a political science degree, and developed an interest in reproductive justice, food systems and access, and oral history archiving.

In her spare time, Kavleen loves reading and learning new creative hobbies.

Kavleen uses she/her/hers pronouns.
