Ohio State Organizer
Allie Lahey is an unapologetic queer & feminist activist who believes that investing in young people’s organizing is key to achieving justice for all. As the Ohio State Organizer with URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity, she pioneered their first integrated voter engagement and canvassing program, and works with young people for reproductive justice. She proudly hails from the Midwest and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2014 with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies. A blogger on the side, Allie writes about sexuality, politics and gendered violence and has been published by XOJane, Young People For and the BG News. She also worked previously as an advocate at a domestic violence shelter, and with the AAUW’s Tech Trek, a STEM camp for 8th grade girls. In her spare time, she likes to dream of new tattoo ideas, travel, go to punk rock shows, and play with her cat, Mouse.
