New York, NY – Today, URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity Executive Director Kimberly Inez McGuire (she/her/ella) will receive the Ms. Foundation’s Women of Vision award. This award is being given to feminist advocates, activists, and thought leaders who ignite policy and cultural change. For the past 50 years, the Ms. Foundation for Women has consistently invested in the development of  grassroots movements and fighting for gender equity, particularly for communities of color. At URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity, we recognize the crucial goals of preserving bodily autonomy, defending the rights of people of color and LGBTQ+ people across the country, and lifting up the voting power of young people. The supportive investment of Ms. is more important than ever before in helping grassroots organizations and leaders realize these goals. Congratulations to our Executive Director, Kimberly Inez McGuire, on receiving this award and to the Ms. Foundation for 50 years of solidarity with leaders on the frontlines of defending gender equity.

Kimberly Inez McGuire, Executive Director of URGE, issued the following statement:

“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside so many incredible women fighting for justice. Reproductive justice is my passion, my calling, and my movement home. I will never stop fighting for dignity, equality, and human rights.”
