Issue Advocacy
URGE works hand-in-hand with our communities to create policy solutions that will advance young people’s liberation, as well as support allied policymakers that center our voices.
Transforming the Youth Agenda into Policy
We advocate for policy that is aligned with the priorities, concerns, and hopes of our community. In both local town halls and the halls of the U.S. Capitol, URGE leaders lobby for legislation that reflects the values of our youth activists.
URGE’s bold agenda centers the needs and voices of young adults, particularly LGBTQIA+ and people of color. We are building a world in which we can live with justice, love freely, express our gender and sexuality, and define and create families of our choosing.
