This Pride Month, as we approach the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision, we’re uplifting the voices of young folks and providing them with the support they need to become leaders in their communities.

Our Stories Spark Change
At URGE, we train and support youth leaders to build power in their communities and on their campuses. We know that when young people have resources and support, they become a force for lasting change.
In Alabama, our advocacy led to a major win: a new law, HB 152, removing the state sales tax on essential health items like period and baby care products, starting in 2025. The new law is more than a policy change. It’s a statement: our bodies deserve care, not shame. Our needs deserve to be met, not taxed.
Young people spoke at the Capitol, wrote postcards, and shared their stories. Here is what they had to say:
