Reproductive Justice Leadership Institutes

URGE hosts Reproductive Justice Leadership Institutes (RJLIs) to introduce young people throughout the country to the reproductive justice movement, build networks of young activists in our priority states, and assist young people who are interested in creating or strengthening a campus URGE chapter. The RJLI is a weekend-long conference and is open to young people (age 18-25) throughout the state.

The weekend includes conversations about reproductive justice at the intersections of race, class, gender, and faith, the political landscape in the state and strategies for campus organizing. Only young people currently living in the state are eligible to attend. To ensure the best environment for group learning, each RJLI has a limited number of seats available – apply below and your State Organizer will follow-up on whether you have been selected to attend.

All expenses (travel, hotel, food) are paid for by URGE.

Reproductive Justice Leadership Institutes will tentatively be held in Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, and Texas in Fall 2020.

Stay tuned for updates on RJLI 2020 dates. We will prioritize our folks’ health and remain responsive to COVID-19. Please contact your state organizer or info@urge.org for more information.
