Democracy Reform
As the New American Majority – comprised of young people, women and people of color, and new Americans – has risen to participate in our democracy, the right has responded with new and dangerous attacks on voting rights. From Kansas to Georgia, the integrity of elections is under attack and historically marginalized communities, specifically Native, Black, and young people, are being blocked from voting or having their votes count. We must expand voting rights, protect the integrity of elections, ensure broad civic participation by young people, and change the narrative about young voters.
- Make it easier to vote on Election Day
- Lower voting age to 16
- Oppose voter disenfranchisement efforts
- Support local sovereignty efforts
