Agnes Scott Gets Started with a Fervor

March 30, 2012

AgnessScottLeadershipStudents at Agnes Scott College started their URGE chapter in early March and only a few weeks later have recruited 20 active and committed members. The students at Agness Scott have made educating the student body a priority.  They recently hosted a female holocaust survivor on campus to talk to young people about her experience in Auschwitz as a woman. They also participated in our national Valentines Day of Action – collecting 25 valentines asking Congress to “Listen up, or We’re Breaking up” and “get your hands off my birth control.” The group will soon be representing reproductive rights issues at their annual SEXTRAVAGANZA – a carnival like event on campus addressing sexual health issues and building awareness about sex and sexuality.
