Rye Young

Rye Young is the head of Rye Young Consulting which is committed to the advancement of social justice philanthropy. He most recently served as the Executive Director of Third Wave Fund where he began as an intern in 2008. Rye is passionate about expanding opportunities for communities who are most affected by oppression yet remain marginalized in progressive movements and in philanthropy.

Brandi Underwood – Student Board Member

Brandi Underwood is a student board member from Wesleyan College, where she is president of her URGE chapter, Power And Protest Society. She will graduate May 2024 with a bachelor’s in advertising and marketing communications. While at college, she has fought for abortion rights, inclusive sex education, and menstrual equity on campus and in the community. After college, she plans to continue reproductive justice work.

Chloe Chaffin – Student Board Member

Chloe is a senior at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas where they are studying political science with minors in English and poverty studies. Chloe is the Program Lead for Loud Light, a Kansas-based nonpartisan nonprofit for civic engagement and democratic reform targeting youth and marginalized community. Chloe was the founding president of the Washburn URGE chapter in 2021, serving in that role for two years and now is currently working as the Washburn URGE exec secretary.
