The URGE Chapter at Cleveland State University is devoted to building a passionate group of leaders and activists that spreads awareness about reproductive justice and strongly advocates for gender equity. We believe in the power of education to create change; we believe in the power of volunteerism to unite communities; and we believe that together and by empowering each other, we can accomplish beautiful and positive outcomes to further humanity in this world.
The chapter at The Fort Valley State University gives emerging leaders the tools they need to organize, network, and exchange ideas to build a youth centered agenda and mobilize communities for gender equity and reproductive justice.
The URGE chapter at Columbus State University is new, it was founded in the spring of 2020. Our chapter is called Cougars for the Autonomy and Agency for All Peoples, it is a bit of a mouthful so we go by the acronym CAAAP. Our current chapter goals include creating a sustainable chapter through recruitment and reproductive justice advocacy through informative meetings and campaigns.

URGE Wichita Community Action Network was created to connect young people dedicated to bettering Wichita. As their city grew, they wanted to make sure that that young people were at the forefront, as well as make sure that young people throughout Kansas have access to abortion. Bethel College FemCore is a student led feminist collective working towards gender equity and reproductive justice at Bethel and in the broader Newton community. By partnering with URGE as a student chapter, FemCore has been able to sponsor students to attend advocacy days at the Kansas state capitol, URGE’s Reproductive Justice Leadership Institutes, and Wichita Pride events. On Bethel’s campus, FemCore has also implemented Bring in the Bystander workshops, advocates for Title IX policy reform, and provides menstrual products for students. The Birmingham CAN is in development in the city of Birmingham, Alabama after several years of Integrated Voter Engagement campaigns in the city.
URGE at Troy University is working to create change on their campus. URGE at Troy is campaigning to eliminate stigma around menstruation and for free menstrual products to be provided on campus. Join them in the fight for reproductive justice on Wednesdays in Patterson 201!
